With booming voice, often high above all in the tree tops, it defies the limitation of its small size. Found only in New Zealand, the Bellbird, with crystal clear song, is the first to rise and lead the chorus at dawn.

Tiny in stature but huge in song, the Grey Warbler might be plain in colour but is brilliant in melody. Their presence through field and bush, from urban to scrub, is more heard than seen. Monogamous pairs work as a team. Whether hovering for bugs, or scavenging for materials to construct their dome-shaped nest, Grey Warblers are always busy. Each season they will likely manage two broods, made possible by sharing the work load.
